SERENNO System – Advanced Continuous Medical Monitoring for Hospitalized Patients
The SERENNO system is an innovative medical solution developed by Serenno Medical, designed to improve the quality of care and monitoring for hospitalized patients.
The system enables continuous and automatic monitoring of vital medical parameters, such as urine output and intrarenal blood pressure, and is based on advanced technology that collects and analyzes real-time data.
The primary goal of the system is to enable early detection of warning signs that may indicate the development of medical complications — with a particular focus on renal-related issues — thereby helping medical staff make faster and more accurate decisions.
With SERENNO, it is possible to enhance patient safety, prevent deterioration, and streamline the clinical decision-making process.

The Design Process – From Concept to Final Product
The development of the device began with an intensive exploratory phase, which included the creation of rapid prototypes aimed at testing a variety of configurations and operational principles.
In the next stage, a wide range of design concepts was developed, exploring different directions in terms of ergonomics, functionality, and aesthetics.
The goal of this phase was to identify the optimal design direction—one that balances market requirements, user needs, and technological feasibility—and to proceed from there into the advanced development stages, culminating in a refined, production-ready design.

After evaluating a wide range of ideas and design concepts, a dominant sketch was selected, successfully addressing all the design and functional challenges of the project.
Subsequently, our studio completed the entire mechanical design phase and was responsible for producing the initial prototypes, which served as the beta version for early-stage marketing and for practical field testing of the product.
